La casa de mis sue–os

 

 

Imagine you are studying to be an architect.  You have been given an assignment to design the house of your dreams – la casa de tus sue–os.  It may be a house – una casa, or an apartment – un apartamento. 

 

With one partner:

 

  1. Draw a blueprint of the house/apartment.  The drawing must show doors, windows, walls, etc. 
  2. Label all the rooms in Spanish.  The house/apartment must have at least one of each of the following:
    1. bathroom
    2. dining room
    3. patio
    4. living room
    5. bedroom
    6. kitchen
    7. garage
  3. It should have a planta baja, and/or a primer piso and stairs.
  4. Do a rough sketch of the major furnishings in each room.
  5. Write 5 statements about the plan you drew.  Examples:  Whether it is a house or an apartment, if it is big or small, the number and type of rooms, where different rooms are located, how many doors windows, etc. 
  6. Use coloring pencils if you have time.  Be creative. 
  7. Spelling counts.  No English will be allowed.
  8. All projects are due by the end of the period on Friday, April 24.  No extensions, no exceptions.
