2010 Trip to Puerto Rico

Fundraising

Fundraising is essential for many of the students who wish to participate in this trip.  Depending on the level of involvement, a student can raise most of the money needed.  In order to avoid conflict or misunderstandings, the money a student raises goes directly to his/her account.  Profit is not divided among everybody.  Students who actively participate will see their balance diminish significantly.  There is, however, the need to raise funds to pay for general trip expenses – chaperones, gas, tips, tolls, etc... Students are expected/required to actively participate in activities designed to cover those costs.  Please keep in mind that if those funds are not raised, then the price per student increases.  The district does NOT pay for the chaperones or any other trip-related expenses.

Some fundraising activities of previous years are:

Candy sales – Students may get bags from Sra. Alessi to sell after School

CorbiÕs Pizza and Cookie Dough Sale – great moneymaker

Pizza Hut Cards - $5. profit per card sold

Erma Deli Hoagie Sales

Make-Your-Own Taco Dinner – A lot of fun

Bake sales

Hot Chocolate and Chili at night events

Basketball Games Concession Stand

Sale of water bottles and pretzels at the Monster Truck event in Wildwood

We are always open to new ideas.  A concession stand for after school?  The concession stand at the fall play?  A spaghetti dinner?

We welcome any ideas that will help bring additional funds!
