| I will be happy to
write any student a letter of recommendation. I have a few conditions
however. First, you must realize I will write an honest recommendation.
If you sleep in class that is what I will write. If you are an extremely
hard worker that is what I will write. Second, I will need information
from you before I start writing. Third, I need a minimum of two
weeks to write the recommendation. Just like you I am extremely
busy and need to budget my time in order to write the best recommendation
possible. You need to plan ahead.
You must provide me with the following
information:
| a. An up to
date transcript with your class rank, SAT/ACT scores, and
any AP results.
b. A resume
c. A brief description of what the recommendation
is for. Do you want a generic letter of recommendation for
college that can be used over and over? Do you want a specific
letter for a specific college? Do you want a letter for
a specific scholarship? I need to know why I am writing
the letter.
d. Are there any specific areas
you want me to focus on? Obliviously I usually focus on
academics but if you want me to focus on extra curricular
activities I can do that as well, provided you give me the
information. |
If you want a good letter of recommendation
please work with me. Remember it is your future so put some thought
and effort into the information you provide me and I will do the
best job I can do to provide you with what you need.
