Lower Cape May Regional Education Association
John R. Maxwell Scholoarships

These are two $500 scholarships. The criteria for awarding these scholarships shall be as follows:

  1. The student must be graduating from Lower Cape May Regional High School.
  2. The student must attend an accredited college as a full time student.
  3. The student must be pursuing a degree in Education.
  4. The student must show time type of School Activity or Community Involvement.
  5. The student must complete a Financial Aid form provided by the Guidance Department.
  6. See #5 below.

LCMRHS's Guidance Department will select the recipient.

Application due to Guidance by April 30.

Lower Cape May Regional Education Association Grants

These are for $1000. Amount shall be determined by Rep. Council each year based on funds available. The criteria for awarding these grants shall be as follows:

  1. The student must be a legal dependent or biological child of a LCMREA member and graduating from high school.
  2. The student must have a 3.0 G.P.A. by the end of the 1st semester of their senior year in high school.
  3. The student must be attending a 2-year or 4-year college or technical school as a full time student.
  4. The student must show some type of School Activity or Community Involvement.
  5. Transcript must be sumitted to association treasurer by February 15th of year following award for payment. Any transcript received after this date will result in revocation of the scholarship money.

For budgetary purposes, Association members should obtain applications by September 30.

Application due to LCMR Guidance Department or LCMREA Officer by April 1st.

This grant information will be revised every year.
