The Board approved:

The regular meeting minutes, executive session minutes, and work session minutes from the Board of Education meeting of April 24, 2008.

The Preliminary Monthly Budget Summary Report for the 2007-08 school year through March 2008.

March 2008 Board Secretary Report for the 2007-08 school year, pending audit.

March 2008 preliminary report of the Treasurer of School funds for the 2007-08 school year.

Payment of bills.

School district investments.

Charlsie Downing to move from B, step 5 to B+15, step 5 effective June 1, 2008.

The ACES Natural Gas Supply Service Contract with Pepco Energy Services, Inc. effective June, 2008 for a 24-month term.

The Joint Purchasing Agreement with Pittsgrove Township Board of Education for the 2008-09 school year.

The Interlocal Services Agreement with Cape May County Special Services School District for Web Design and Related Services for the 2008-09 school year.

The Interlocal Services Agreement with the Township of Lower for Web Design and Related Services for the 2008-09 school year.

The Interlocal Services Agreement with West Cape May Board of Education for Guidance Services for the 2008-09 school year.

The Interlocal Services Agreement with Lower Township Elementary Schools for Web Design and Related Services for the 2008-09 school year.

The 2008-09 Maintenance and Support Agreement for Cort Software in the amount of $8,335.00 for the 2008-09 school year.

The 2008-09 tuition contracts with the Cape May County Technical School District.

Submission of the Carl D. Perkins grant application in the amount of $65,118. for the 2008-09 school year.

The summer work hours.

Submission of the Carl D. Perkins Secondary five year plan effective July 2008 to June 30, 2013.

Jennifer Sales as a student teacher in 7th grade Science at the Teitelman School beginning October 6, 2008 through December 5, 2008.

The appointment of  Andrea Kuhlberg, step M 6, for employment in the 2008-09 school year.

John Drechen as Summer Band Director.

George Kelly as a teacher of English in the high school for the 2008-09 school year. 

Michael Hickman as a part time teacher of Law Enforcement/part time instructional aide in the high school for the 2008-09 school year. 

Angela Letcavage as a Guidance Counselor in the Teitelman School for the 2008-09 school year. 

Christine Boardman as a student teacher in Social Studies at the high school effective September through December 2008.

Edward Johnston as a student teacher in Social Studies at the high school effective September through December 2008.

South Jersey Jazz Basketball to use the district’s gymnasiums and bathrooms for their Wildwoods 8th Annual Battle on the Boardwalk Tournament on June 14th from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and June 15th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Theatreworks, USA, under the direction of Lower Township Elementary School District, to use the Paul W. Schmidtchen Theatre for performances to be held on December 18, 2008, May 8, 2009 and May 21, 2009. 

Girls’ Lacrosse, under the direction of Ed Kraemer, to use the RMT Boys Lacrosse field for their lacrosse camp on July 7, 8 and 9, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. 

Gene Sole to attend the NMSA Institute of Middle Level Leadership in Charleston, South Carolina from July 20 – 23, 2008.

Jerry Roth to attend the AP Physics Summer Institute in Albany, New York, from July 21 – 25, 2008.

Frank Toth to attend the Project Lead the Way Summer Training Institute at Rowan University on July 20 – August 1, 2008.

Approve payment to Global Connect in the amount of $3,416.00 for school communication system services for the 2008-09 school year.

Approve a health benefit coverage buyout for the 2008-09 school year in the amount of $4000, subject to all policies and procedures as determined by the NJEHBP, and sufficient participation to warrant a savings.

Elyse Mendicino as a substitute teacher for the 2007-08 school year.

The Memorandum of Understanding with the LCMR Education Association effective 7/1/08

The Board accepted:

The resignation of Gwendolyn Jackson as a part time bus driver effective June, 12, 2008.
