Friday, October 24th – Poetry Coffeehouse –
Do you love poetry, either reading it or writing it yourself, or maybe just listening to it? Well, if you are a poetry-lover, you’ll want to come to the Media Center Poetry Coffeehouse being held during all lunches on Friday, October 24th! You can read your own poetry to the group (please turn in a copy ahead of time to Mrs. Carpinelli), read someone else’s poetry, or just listen. We’ll be serving lite snacks, too! All for free! No registration is required, just come!

Book of the Month for October-November is Dunk by David Lubar
Check out a copy from the Media Center, read it, and you will be eligible to participate in a pizza party on Friday, November 21st!
Dunk is the story of Chad, who spends the summer before his junior year somewhere at the Jersey Shore (could it be Wildwood?), working as a dunk tank clown on the Boardwalk, hurling insults at passers-by, trying to get them to spend $2 on 3 balls to make him plunge into the water. You’ll be amused by the many creative insults in the book, and you’ll be pulled into the story of Chad’s relationship with a sick friend and a beautiful girl he meets on the Boardwalk.
