FRESHMEN
Chris Alicea Nominated by: Mr. Greg Douglass
On October 15, 2007, this past fall, Chris Alicea dealt with the tragic loss of his mother due to an aneurysm. Despite the circumstances, Chris never took a step backwards. He continues to be an excellent student/athlete. With his cool demeanor, his sense of kindness, and gentleman like manners, he is a pleasure to be around. Keep up the good work and be an inspiration to others who might unfortunately face the same situation. My People’s Choice Award winner is freshman, Chris Alicea.
Susan Booth Nominated by: Mr. Michael Badger
I am nominating Susie Booth in recognition of her genuine excitement about learning and the energy and commitment she has put into her own self-improvement. I’m sure Ms. Booth will receive numerous accolades in her academic career based on her undeniable intelligence and academic accomplishment. What I would like to recognize is the impressive positive energy – the passion for growth - that will make her a success at whatever she takes on in life.
William Chavanne Nominated by: Mr. Ed Kraemer
He is the shy, quiet student who has contributed to my class daily. His insight and probing questions keep me on my toes.He comes to class for enlightenment not to simply fulfill a requirement.I am not sure if he realizes how much that means to a teacher.
Meaghan Mann Nominated by: Mrs. Jennifer Sessa
I am probably one of the few teachers who did not know this young lady until she entered high school this year, but I know I will remember her for a long time to come. Since the beginning of the year, I have come to realize what is hidden beneath her often shy and quiet exterior. As a student, this young lady never complains, never makes excuses, and never avoids a challenge. She is an incredibly hard worker who strives to be successful. I have also had the opportunity to witness her optimism and kind-hearted nature. She knows what it means to be a good friend. She is there for her friends, whether it be for a good laugh or to provide a trustworthy support system. I have never heard her speak unkindly about anyone. I am always looking for positive role models for my own daughter, and I have definitely found one in my nominee for People’s Choice, Meaghan Mann.
Tyler Sole Nominated by: Mr. Larry Ziemba
Tyler Sole thrives on difficult tasks and challenges, and his performance in the classroom and on the football field will attest to that. I am most impressed with his understanding of the hard work that goes into being a student/athlete, his seriousness of purpose, and his willingness to do whatever is necessary to be successful. Most importantly, Tyler is enthusiastic, willing to work, and he enjoys being part of a team with others.
SOPHOMORES
Erica Addonizio Nominated by: Mrs. Carmen Alessi
This student has been my right hand during the long, boring concession stand nights. This she has done with great spirit and without neglecting her other obligations. She is an outstanding athlete and scholar. I could not have survived without her help.
!Mil gracias, Erica!
Sam Baxter Nominated by: Mrs. Alice Gibson
Even though I have only taught Sam this past year, he has proved to be an incredible student with great perseverance and consistency. We both share the same passion for mathematics. Although, I know his passion for chemistry is not as strong, I appreciate his honesty and that is exactly why I am recognizing Sam for People’s Choice. Despite everything else, he knows how to keep his focus on academics yet live a balanced life with extracurricular activities. (even though hockey is not a sport, cheerleading is…Ha Ha!) I have confidence that Sam will excel and achieve anything he dreams possible. Keep your eyes open, hands up, and enjoy the ride!
Kayla Cranmer Nominated by: Mr. Frank Ackley
K - K is for Kind (is helpful in class)
A – A is for Attentive (pays attention to whoever is speaking)
Y – Y is for Youthful (sees life from a fresh perspective)
L – L is for Learning (comes to school and applies herself)
A – A is for Academic (does well in her classes)
Steve Grove Nominated by: Mr. Mark Ridgway
Steve is the one student I have that always puts a smile on my face no matter what kind of day I am having. Along with doing what is asked of him in class, Steve does a lot of little things. Steve all year has been the first student to notice when I get a haircut no matter how bad or good it looks. Steve always asks me how things are going with me buying my house. He told me where to get my furniture and I took his advice. Along with telling me I need a 70 inch flat screen, I haven’t been able to afford this year. Plus, Steve has always told me that if I needed a roommate he would move in and I wouldn’t have to pay him anything. (As long as I gave him the biggest bedroom) Steve and I also lift weights and exercise after school. In the weight room, he always lets me know how old and weak I am compared to him. It’s all of these small things Steve does that add up to being a large positive part of my teaching here. I want to thank Steve for being a great student and look forward to watching his progress in our great school district.
Amelia Lizak Nominated by: Mrs. Sandi Eakin
Never failing to do the best on every assignment is just the way she works. But that is not what causes me to pay tribute to her. This student brings a life and voice to history. She can seize the story behind the facts, the reality of what we learn. I do not run across many adults who can see that these “dead old guys” were real living, breathing men and women. Yet my nominee seems to have grasped this indisputable fact and uses it to make sense of the world we delve into each day in class. Her interest even extends to modern politics; watch out world when she gets the vote! I am not sure where the future is going to bring you, but everyone you touch will come away with a sense that life is now a bit more colorful, richer, and has more meaning.
So tonight I say thank you for working hard, for laughing at my jokes, for writing back to me on your tests, and for listening to your own inner music. As you move through life remember a most important civic lesson; ‘Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.’ My nominee: Amelia Lizak
Anthony Micciche Nominated by: Mr. Peter Daly
“Cheech,” as he is known, has only been to my office once for discipline. However, I did not know it was him because his name was actually on the infraction and I have called him Cheech since I met him last year. His name on the infraction slip was spelled wrong because he never gets in trouble and the teacher just calls him Cheech. Anthony is perhaps one of the nicest students in the school. Whether it is a cheerful hello and “What’s up? “in the cafeteria or at the Pancake House it is always a pleasure to run into him.
Phil Sylvester Nominated by: Mrs. Nancy Sayre
Phil has been a member of LCMR’s Photography Club for two years. He has been a faithful member, always in attendance and ready to pitch in. He is willing to lend a helping hand and is one of the most polite and respectful students I have had the pleasure to work with.
Sharayah Terrell Nominated by: Mrs. Alice Vasser
Leadership is done on greater or lesser capacities in all that we do, whether recreational, educational or professional. Early on the benefit of learning to play with peers provides a format to denote a leader in a group. Early indicators within a person’s life can determine whether a person is deemed to be seen as a leader or follower and indicates as to what capacity they will contribute to their community, school, or work environment. Transformational leadership is defined as to the effects of transforming the values and priorities of followers and motivating them to perform beyond their expectations (Yukl, 1998). With my People’s Choice, we have talked about her future, where she sees herself and how she plans to get there. Speaking with her teachers as she prepared to attend a college tour brought forth glowing remarks. Understanding early that the anger she harbored in her freshman year would get her nowhere but to the vice principal’s office, I found she made a total turn-around for her sophomore year. She has helped me with my ReUnite board, has a commitment to attend 19 universities in 7 days, and I intend to get a piece of her artwork throughout her tenure here at LCMR. I have all the confidence that she will keep transforming into the leader I expect her to be. It is for these reasons I choose Sharayah Terrell to be my People’s Choice this year.
JUNIORS
Kevin Bonner Nominated by: Mrs. Karren Barr
As a new teacher to LCMR, I was nervous and felt out of place. Kevin welcomed me with a smile and reassurance that I would be fine. He is always concerned about my well being and how my day is going. He has been a big help and has made every day better than the one before.
Brianna Bove & Cheyenne Seonia Nominated by: Mrs. Karen Murnaghan
Both of these girls are near and dear to my heart. I have been their teacher, their advisor and their confidant over the last three years. I could not choose one over the other. They have both worked hard at fundraising events and put a lot of time into planning the Prom. These girls have made me laugh at my most stressed out points and we have always had a good time together. I have been honored to share their journey from little freshmen to young ladies and I know that in the years following their high school careers I will continue to hear about their many successes. I would move heaven and earth for these two young women.
Tyler Carango Nominated by: Mr. Mark Gardella
My nominee has a very unique outlook on life. This outlook results in unique ideas in class. My People’s Choice nominee is the very unique Tyler Carango.
Sarah Craddock Nominated by: Mrs. Mary Rose Bispels
My People’s Choice nominee is the “Queen Midas” of LCMR. Any project, assignment, club or activity she becomes involved with is guaranteed to turn “golden.” Although I have known her since she was in sixth grade, my nominee became an active member of Renaissance this year and immediately I encountered her “golden touch.” On two different occasions, I asked her to work on a project, and true to form, both turned to ”gold.” I also witnessed her be a role model to younger students; one at my request, the other all on her own, and yes, once again her golden touch prevailed. She is the type of person I want to be around-fun, positive, energetic. And, maybe, just maybe, I too can be a “Golden Girl.” I look forward to working my nominee for the remainder of this year and next, Queen Midas, Sarah Craddock.
Nick Heishman Nominated by: Mrs. Jean Miersch
Nick is consistently patient, kind, courteous, friendly and helpful, while excelling in his schoolwork. He is an asset to the classroom and the school.
Angela Isaacson Nominated by: Mrs. Joan Dilling
The young lady that I have chosen has the most incredible sense of humor. I have her in a very difficult class and she always keeps me laughing. When the class has pushed me over the edge, I look to her for a comment, an expression and she never lets me down. Her outlook on life is phenomenal which I am sure is attributed to her wonderful relationship with her parents. You can take a bow Mom and Dad; you have done a wonderful job with your Romanian Princess. I love her and appreciate her each and every day.
Julianne Jacob Nominated by: Mr. Rich Houghton
Julianne Jacob was in my U.S. I History class last year and is currently in my U.S. II class this year. I have watched her continue to progress and grow as a student and as a person. She is always polite and considerate toward me and is truly a pleasure to have in class on a daily basis! It was an easy decision to choose Julie for “People’s Choice” this year and I wish all the best for her in the future. Thanks for being you, Julie!!
Brittany McCabe Nominated by: Mrs. Lisa Jurewicz
Brittany is my student, my repairperson, my librarian, my secretary, my counselor, my comedienne, my decorator, my friend and my reason for coming to school. Thank you for everything.
Sarah Miller Nominated by: Mrs. Melissa Creamer
I have known this student for the past few years as both her coach and now her teacher. While this student has been through a lot personally, you would never know it by seeing and talking to her. In general, she is a very happy, outgoing person who strives toward excellence in both academics and athletics.Unfortunately, I have been out of school for the majority of the year due to medical issues.During this time, this student has assisted the substitutes by helping with where things are in the classroom and being a liaison between myself and the substitutes. She has also checked in with me often to see how I have been progressing and always seems to make me smile. While I have been sitting at home recovering, I have realized that it is students like Sarah Miller that make the trials ofall worth it.
Julie Sangillo Nominated by: Miss Karen Wadding/Mr. John Hosford
Julie has earned the privilege to be recognized for her endless commitment to making a difference athletically, academically and socially in our school and community. She possesses the essential characteristics congruent to a successful collegiate and/or career experience. Julie is buoyed by strong time management skills, the value of self-reflection, and meticulous self-imposed standards. The influences predicated by her home life are exemplified in her developed attitude and strong sense of responsibility; we trust she will reach the pinnacle of her potential as she develops into a well-rounded and productive adult. Regardless of where life leads her, her passion for life will have an eternal influence on all who come to know her! “What we become, defines us for eternity. What we fail to become, is lost forever.” May peace, success and happiness be with you always.
SENIORS
Emily Adams Nominated by: Mrs. Debbie Sundstrom
This lovely young woman and I have known one another for three years. first appeared in my Baking Class first period of the day with her positive energy.all her activities, she seems a lot like I was in high school. She works hard and loves being creative and it shows with her many activities, such as Peer Leaders and being a member of our Yearbook staff. Over the years, her talents have grown and you may have had the pleasure of hearing her in many of our talent shows, as well as our musicals. love of music is her passion. Her passions transverse into all aspects of her life. She never steps down from a challenge.
This young woman loves children and takes time from her busy high school life and is also involved in our Senior Intern Program as a teacher’s aide at Memorial School. She will be a great asset to the teaching profession one day. I would like to introduce a student whom you will see and hear a lot from I believe in our community in the future. It is my pleasure to introduce Ms. Emily Adams, someone I have not gotten to see much this year because of her busy life, and mine, but whom I will forever call my friend.
Dana Cashmore Nominated by: Mrs. Bonnie Riddle
Quiet.
Always working behind the scenes.
To get the job done.
Willing and able
To pitch in without taking the limelight.
My nominee is a Peer Leader, filling in whenever and wherever she is needed. She is a talented pianist who may not be noticed at center stage but can be seen quietly playing the music as the accompanist in the background soothing our souls. Faced with disappointment, she continues to move forward in life with a quiet unassuming presence. Hard working, never out of energy, and as we say from Wisconsin………………cream always rises to the top!
Ka Hing (Michael) Chan Nominated by: Mrs. Kathy Parker
Joshua Curtiss Nominated by: Mr. Jerry Roth
Joshua Curtiss, Curtiss, to all who know him, is a terrific young man. He is a thoughtful, determined person that does what all too few of his peers can do; he leads by positive example. He is talented and bright and I wish the best for him in his future. Those who know you have great expectations.
Cassandra Denham Nominated by: Mrs. LouAnn Gable
Cassie is an excellent student in Human Conscience. She researched a topic I suggested and always goes the extra mile. It is truly a pleasure to have Cassie as a student in my class. She brightens my day.
Mark DeNote Nominated by: Mr. Rocco DeNote
“The reason I am here.”
Kayla Dodge Nominated by: Mrs. Pat Marchione
I teach junior and senior English classes so it isn’t often that I see my students during their first years of high school. I don’t have the opportunity to witness their developing maturity or to know them during some of the struggles that they might experience on their way to adulthood. I only see the end result. I have, however, had the pleasure of developing a true friendship with my nominee for People’s Choice. I first met her through the mentor program when she was a feisty freshman and I have seen her transform into a beautiful young woman with her sights on college. My nominee has had to endure a tragedy that most adults do not have to experience until they have families of their own. And while I and others might have faltered, she became even stronger. She worked that much more diligently to succeed in school and she continued to pursue her interests in dance, softball and cheerleading. She maintained such an incredibly positive attitude that I wondered from time to time how she did it. Not often do adults find role models in children, but I have learned so much from her about resiliency and hope that I believe we have moved beyond the mentor/student relationship and onto a true friendship. I know that Kayla’s mother is smiling down on her beautiful daughter tonight and I feel honored to be sharing this moment with her.
Chris Eisenmann Nominated by: Ms. Nicole Wright
Over the past year at LCMR, he has possessed a multitude of characteristics: a great personality, sense of humor and charisma. I have also seen him mature during this time to use these attributes for good rather than evil.
Joe Fisher Nominated by: Mrs. Jane Rife
Mark Twain said, “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” Joe has a genuine kindness, gentleness and gentleman-like quality about himself. He is a good friend and a defender of those less capable. He is funny and someone everyone likes to be around – especially me. Thank you for all you do each and every day to make things a little more enjoyable.
Kelsey Gavigan Nominated by: Mrs. Fran Zukawski
Kelsey is an amazing young woman. Each morning as I arrive at school, Soup, Janzell, Trisha, Werm, and Kelsey greet me with a quick “hello.” This brightens my day! I also get to chat with her around lunchtime. I don’t know if she realizes how much I enjoy our conversations and how much they mean to me. I could tell you that Kelsey is a great athlete. She was given a scholarship to Philadelphia University for field hockey plus played basketball and lacrosse; or a wonderful Peer Leader (whose freshmen simply adore her); but I would rather say that she has touched my life with laughter and love and that I am a better person for having known her.
Shawn Gerry Nominated by: Mr. Dennis Elia
I first met this young man here at LCMR coaching him in soccer as a freshman and have had the pleasure of doing so for three out of the last four years. During that time I have watched him mature, as a junior he began to step up as a leader for us and it carried right into his senior year where he was named team captain. At times he was like having another coach on the field. He is a respectful, hard working individual that will be greatly missed and hard to replace. He has a will to win whether it is on the practice field, in a scrimmage or during a game that is unsurpassed by anyone that I have ever coached. Because of these characteristics discussed I know that he will be successful at the next level. I look forward watching and following his college career. I would like to wish him the best of luck in all of life’s future endeavors. As I said previously I first met him as one of my players, since then we’ve become teammates, and sometime down the road I know I will be able to call him friend.
Tom Greenwood Nominated by: Mrs. Leigh Shea
I have watched Tom mature from a shy young eighth grader to a fine young man. He diligently worked in Science class and always stepped up to the plate. He is a well of knowledge with abounding potential. Tom is a pleasure to have in class. I wish him the best in life.
Lauren Hansen & Lindsey Vendetta Nominated by: Mrs. Jodee Sattazahn
Lauren Hansen is an extremely talented student who continuously strives to meet new challenges. She uses her many talents in all of the activities in which she participates in service to the school. Since her freshman year she has served as Class President, Class Vice President, and Class Secretary. Her dedication and commitment are apparent in all that she does. Lauren is a diplomatic leader who has had many significant accomplishments.
Lindsay Vendetta is an amazing student who has contributed much to our school. Serving as Class President, Class Vice President, Student Council Secretary, and Student Council Vice President, she has proven to be an influential member of the school community. She consistently puts all of her energies into everything that she does and has been a successful leader in our school.
Kerri Hayes Nominated by: Mrs. Peg Kroeger
Kerri has grown so much through her four years here at LCMR. She has dealt with many hardships that most of us, as adults, have not been faced with. She has transformed from a student trying to leave school and hang out with friends, to a student who comes to school and has made the Honor Roll. She has become a responsible adult who holds down two jobs and helps take care of her younger sister. I am proud of you, “Sunshine,” and I will miss you!
Kelsey Herchenrider Nominated by: Ms. LeeAnn Catti
This year my People’s Choice nominee is Kelsey Herchenrider. I first met Kelsey the summer going into her freshman year. Back then, she was a bright eyed, freckled faced, adorable redhead. A short four years later, she has become a remarkable young lady. She is currently 2nd in the senior class and is an amazing athlete. She is a captain to the field hockey team, swim team and lacrosse teams. Kelsey recently qualified for the State Tournament of Champions that took place earlier this month. Among Kelsey’s many talents she is also a truly caring and giving person. She is a class act through and through. I consider her more than my student and my athlete; she is truly my friend for life.
Gerald Hill Nominated by: Mrs. Dana Markovitz
Many students are given academic challenges that seem impossible and are faced with a choice: quit or work harder than ever to reach their goals. Gerry is the poster child for what can happen when you get down to business and push yourself to the limit.
Claire Larkin Nominated by: Mr. T.J. Belasco
Finding the words to capture Claire’s spirit has proven challenging even for someone who works with words for a living. Everything I write seems to strip away the magic and excitement that defines her. Despite this, that is the task with which I am burdened, so magnify whatever you read here to truly understand what makes Claire Larkin special. Claire has had the wonderful pleasure of being preceded at LCMR by two older sisters. As the third of three, I know the dangers of falling under someone’s shadow. However, one of Claire’s greatest strengths has been carving her own path. I never looked out at my class and saw Sarah or Emily’s sister. I saw Claire as her own unique and wonderful person. She brings her passion for learning, compassion for those around her, and an insatiable drive to succeed both in the classroom and on the athletic field. Moreover, Claire serves as a leader to those around her. I have watched her guide younger players on the field hockey and one specifically glows every time Claire advises her.
What Claire has achieved at LCMR can best be described in Maryanne Williamson’s words: “…as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” Claire’s actions have been that beacon for others her four years here. What she does not fully realize is by her example, these lessons will live on through those she has shaped. I know this because I have watched as my daughter has grown from playing field hockey with Claire these past two winters. Finally, as the year ends, I can admit that one of my greatest disappointments was not having the privilege of teaching Claire her senior year. Thankfully, she has kept me abreast of her writing and her year. Claire big things await you in the world – make sure you take the time to enjoy them.
Ashley Loftus Nominated by: Mr. Jeff Wunder
The person that I chose to recognize has been a very special person to me and my family throughout the last four years. She was always a person that we could count on to be dependable and trustworthy at a moments notice. As I have grown to know this young lady, it has been interesting to notice how many people feel the same way the Wunder family feels. She has been a manager on our very successful Girls’ Basketball team and the Bonner family wouldn’t know what to do without this young lady. My family, the Bonners and I are thankful for my People’s Choice nominee.
Eliza Lotozo Nominated by: Mr. Joseph Castellucci
Eliza has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and service to her school through her organization of the school Blood Drives and her contributions to the start of the new Sailing Club at LCMR. Eliza is also an outstanding student and a driving force among the senior officers of the National Honor Society.
Krystalynne Maloney Nominated by: Mr. Ray Obst
I selected Krystalynne for People’s Choice for a plethora of reasons. First, she always has a smile on her face when she comes into class. Her smile automatically makes me feel like she really wants to be in my class. That in turn makes me want to be a better teacher everyday in order to continue making her smile every time she enters my room. Second, she is one of the hardest working and most conscientious students I have ever taught, which of course makes me enjoy my job every day. Third, for the past two years she has earned an A in my class. The rewards I have received from having Krystalynne as a student continue to validate why I became a teacher. Krystalynne, thank you!
Scott Melli Nominated by: Mr. Bert Kern
As might be expected as a disciplinarian I rarely come in contact with member so the National Honor Society, Peer Leaders, band members Mock Trial Team and most athletes. However, my selection this year is or has been a member of all of the aforementioned groups and has made a significant impact on each. Because of his impact on the entire school, it was hard not to notice him. He is courteous and respectful and is respected by both faculty and peers. He is a gentleman in the fullest sense of the word and always conducts himself accordingly, even when his is in disagreement with administrative policies and practices. Complimented by his sense of what is right, he will make his argument in clear and logical fashion fully supported by evidence or ideas. He is headed for college where I predict continued success. Moreover, he is likely to be successful in any endeavor he chooses and will be a leader and an asset to the community in which he lives. He is Scott Melli and he’s a pretty good chess player, too!
Patrick Miller Nominated by: The LCMR Guidance Department
The Guidance Department has a term for those who come to our offices on a consistent basis to spend time with us: frequent flyers. Tonight, we want to recognize someone who embodies the very definition of this term: Patrick Miller. Pat has given us many moments of entertainment, witty banter, and on more than one occasion, flat out annoyance. We, as a department, all have our individual relationships with him, but as a whole, Pat often brings to us a much needed break from our daily routine. Whether he is cart wheeling past our door, discussing history or literature, or simply stealing our last slice of pizza on Fridays, it could not be avoided that this year Pat Miller is our People’s Choice.
Darren Montes Nominated by: Mrs. Harriet Last
This young man, my People’s Choice candidate, over the past 3 ½ years has given me many gray hairs and much indigestion. He was perhaps the only student that I thought might not make it to graduation. He was always honest with me saying that he knew that he could do better in his classes that he was lazy and was just not trying. He entered his senior year with many challenges. He has 2 SRA classes to pass and had 10 credits to complete in Senior Standing plus he works during the school year. This is an awful lot to ask of anyone; however, he has been successful and has managed to overcome these obstacles in order to graduate. He has passed the HSPA as well as the SRA classes. In fact, he was one of the hardest workers in those classes. His grades are excellent and he has nearly completed the Senior Standing. I am very pleased and proud of him and he can certainly be very proud of himself. My People’s Choice candidate is Darren Montes.
Candace Podgorski Nominated by: Ms. Jackie Siscone
Candace is the whole package: intelligent, athletic, kind-hearted, resilient, and a true role model. It has truly been an honor for me to be a part of her career at LCMR. While I do not have children of my own, if I did have a daughter, I would be more than proud if she turned out to be like Candace. She is mature beyond her years, and she is a student that makes our jobs as teachers worthwhile because of her conscientiousness, graciousness, and enthusiasm. I know that teachers are not supposed to have favorites, but Candace has made it quite challenging for me not to place her at the top of my list.
Dylan Rosenberg Nominated by: Mr. Chris Rosenberg
Cynics may think that I nominated my son, Dylan Rosenberg, for the Peoples’ Choice Awards because of nepotism. Some may think it is because I am looking to help him get scholarship money for college through this honor. Lastly, some may think it is because I am a doting father who is taking advantage of his position. Well, come to think of it, perhaps the last reason is partly true. However, the real reason I feel Dylan is deserving of the People’s Choice Award is that he is by far the kindest, most caring, and most polite human being it has been my honor to meet in my lifetime. I won’t bore you with a laundry list of examples of these behaviors because then I would only be proving the doting father theory. Simply put, Dylan Rosenberg is someone that all of us could learn a lesson from when it comes to the correct treatment of our fellow human beings.
Jordan Saini Nominated by: Mr. Jeff Martin
This student has this amazing ability to solve problems. Business leaders urge schools to foster problem-solving based education. I cannot find a better representative for this model. This person has a bright future.
Jackie Songalewski Nominated by: Mrs. Andrea Kuhlberg
Jacquelyn Songalewski and I have been through many ups and downs throughout her high school career, and through these experiences, I feel like I’ve known Jackie for a lot longer than four years. I can not believe she is a senior and graduating, and I can truly say that I have never been more proud of a student. Jackie has matured and grown into a young woman who has gone from barely making it freshman year to excelling in her classes. She has aspirations of becoming a nurse and is doing everything she can to achieve that goal. I am so happy for Jackie and the person she has become. I expect to hear great things about her in the future. I’ll miss you Jack!
Traci Taylor Nominated by: Ms. Gina Fittipaldi
Traci is one of my favorite students due to her great work ethic and congenial personality. She always puts forth that extra effort to guarantee that she earns an “A.” Traci is an excellent role model for her peers, with her positive attitude and permanent smile. She is genuinely a good person with a bright future ahead of her.
Victoria Wermuth Nominated by: Ms. Stephanie Zimmer
“Werm” – some may think of a slimy little critter – I think of an amazing student, athlete, and friend.
Patricia Yagecic Nominated by: Mrs. Linda Givens
As hard working in the classroom as she is on the soccer and softball fields. She has fantastic school spirit- she bleeds blue, black and gold. Patricia is as refreshingly honest and down to earth as any student that I have had the pleasure of meeting.
