Peer Leadership —Advisors: Mrs. Bispels and Mr. Ackley
Peer Leadership is chosen when classes are
selected for your Senior year of high school. It is a
mentor program for all incoming freshmen. Peer
leaders meet with their groups once a month to
talk about such topics as teamwork, peer pressure,
and succeeding in high school.
Sailing Club - Advisors: Mrs. Sayre,
Mrs. Vendetta & Mr. Wilsey
The Sailing Club meets every Tuesday and
Thursday at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Cape
May. The Sailing club meets during the Fall
and sign ups are held the previous Spring.
Spanish Club - Advisor: Mrs. Creamer
Spanish club meetings are held on Thursdays
after school. Experience Spanish culture and
traditions through music, crafts, food and field
trips. Scholarships are provided for deserving
Senior club members.
Student Littoral Society - Advisors:
Mr. Grottola, and Mr. Martin
The
Student Littoral Society is held all year round.
They protect the marine environment and
support environmentally friendly marine
recreation and investigation.
National Honor Society - Advisor:
Ms. Crossan
Membership is open to qualifying juniors and
seniors based upon scholarship, leadership,
character, and service.
Tri-M Music Honor Society - Advisor:
Mrs. Beane-Fox
Membership is open to qualifying Music
Department juniors and seniors based on
scholarship, leadership, character, service, and
musicianship.
Yearbook - Advisor: Mrs. Beane-Fox
Meetings are held every Wednesday in room A1
from 2:30-3:15. Students utilize computer
technology to design, submit, and present the
high school annual yearbook, The Ebb Tides.
Key Club - Advisor: Mrs. Eakin
The Key
Club meetings are held on Wednesdays after
school in room D9. This club provides support,
either physically or financially, to worthy
groups locally, nationally, or worldwide.
Fall Play - Advisor: Mr. Mathis
The Fall Play offers the chance to perform on
stage for the entire school. Auditions are held
the third week of September. Anyone who reads
is guaranteed a part in the company. There are
also opportunities for those who wish to be
involved but do not want to act, such as set construction, lighting, gaffing, and running crews.
Rehearsals are held September to December,
Monday through Thursday.
Spring Musical - Advisor: Mr. Mathis
The Spring Musical offers the opportunity to
perform some of the greatest shows around.
Auditions are completed by singing, dancing, and
reading. Those who audition are guaranteed a spot
in the roster. Non acting opportunities include: set
construction, lighting, technology design, gaffing,
and stage management. Rehearsals are held
January to March, Monday through Saturday.
Renaissance - Advisor: Mrs. Bispels
Meetings are held on Mondays after school.
Renaissance is a group that celebrates student and
staff achievement in the building through various
activities including: Breakfast Thursday, Academic
Cards and Rallies, Spotlight Program, Faculty
Focus, People’s Choice Awards, Winter Wonderland
Dance, and Ice Cream Coupons.
Mock Trial - Advisor: Mr. Higgins
Mock Trial offers the chance for students to
experience life in a court room. Students present
their respective sides to judges, who are the
referees, to win their case. Meetings begin in the
fall and can run through the end of February.
S.A.D.D - Advisor: Mrs. Catanese
S.A.D.D. meets every Tuesday at 2:30 in the School
Based Youth Services Building after school. They
promote substance awareness and prevention both
in school and out. Some activities sponsored by
S.A.D.D are: Food and Clothing Drives for C.A.R.A.,
Prom Promises, the pencil machine, and visits to
R.M.T. to speak with health classes about related
topics.
ReUnite - Advisor: Mrs. Vasser
ReUnite meets every Thursday from 2:30-3:30 in A
Hallway. The group seeks to encourage a multicultural
environment through sponsoring events
and field trips that promote higher education as
well as diversity.
Student Council - Advisor:
Mr. Belasco
Meetings are held every second Monday after
school in Room B-5. Student Council organizes
school dances, hold blood and food drives,
among other community services. They also
help organize class activities and have student
members on the School Board.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes -
Advisors: Mrs. Peckiconis &
Mr. Ackley
This club meets on Tuesdays all year round.
The FCA sponsors summer sports camps,
leadership camps, rallies, banquets, and
conventions. The meetings will include
motivational speakers, Bible studies that focus
on real-world principles and everyday
challenges, and how to have a positive effect on
the school and the community.
Photography Club - Advisor:
Mrs. Sayre
Meetings are held on Wednesdays after school
until 3:20. This club is open to anyone
interested in digital or film photography. We
learn techniques to improve our photos, take
trips to provide an opportunity to test our skills,
and have guest speakers. Cameras are
available to borrow.
Newspaper - Advisors: Mr. Best
Meetings are held Mondays after school. It
allows you to be “in the know” and have a hand
in providing information to the school. You can
write for the newspaper or even take the
photographs needed to make each edition a
success!
Pegasus - Advisors: Mrs. Rife
Pegasus takes place from September to May.
Use creative writing, art and photography to
publish a magazine highlighting students best
work.
