Even though Helen
Keller was hearing and visually
impaired, she changed the public's perception of people with disabilities. She
became known around the world as a symbol of strong will and determination. She
was a woman of intelligence, high ambition, and great accomplishment who played
a leading role in most of the significant political, social, and cultural
movements of the 20th century. Her life story exemplifies ambiition and
endurance. This web quest will help you to learn American Sign Language. As you
learn ASL, realize the struggle Helen Keller went through. Remember she was also blind.
